These little cells already have solid little cores in them. Could be some hailers today.

Full line of storms just to the west of the metro. Albeit a thin line.

You can see these storms firing and back building along the river valley...all that water is just steaming on a day like this.

Pea size hail, a few dime to nickel as well and at or very near severe wind gusts in Wright City

The outflow from the western line is going to kick off more storms.

The outflow from the western line is going to kick off more storms. Most likely right on top of me as I'm leaving work too

I might have been barely 3 but this is exactly how I remember the summer of 93 going. Just thunderstorms all around

Awesome! Thunder, lightening, rain, and wind. It's a good thing, because I was getting worried that the mud was dehydrating!

And once again, you are correct, radar popping
The remnant MCV is easily visible on satellite across SW MO...would think that will light up later today as it meanders into the region.

I am right at Hampton and 64 and it's wild.
PWATS are like 1.75".
The main inhibiting factor for any substantial rain is the lift being unfocused and verticle motion constantly forming and collapsing and reforming.

Given the radar you would think it would be pouring. But it's not.
Its raining hard at times.
But it keeps pulsating

It's absolutely pouring now but the wind has died down completely for now.
Hd radar shows some areas of really deep convection along the 270 loop likely causing hail.

TBF, Chris called it before me...I just checked satellite and saw the swirl and the cloud free skies across the region and a quick glance at the wx station showed a very moist/unstable airmass in place...gotta figure that's gonna stir up something and it sure has.

Radar estimates show Marlborough out along 44 near 270 with over 1" of rain so far.
All of a sudden lightening is going BESERK right on top of me.
At Hampton and 64.
