Few storms popping already out towards Jefferrson City And then they went poof. That spin in SE KS....could that trigger something similar to what we saw last week? Seems to be meandering more north though.

Yeah, today's storm coverage may be the best of the week.

I had some clouds looking like they were building up to something a half hour ago. But now they've gone poof and I have mostly clear skies again.
Talk about impossible to forecast.

And a little while ago a lightning strike out of nowhere hit less than a quarter mile away. Having light shower now.

Couple of decent clusters over the Ozarks...pulsing a bit but they do have some motion to them so they may hold together.

Just a few sprinklies here as the storms out west collapse headed my way. It has cooled off to 77 though, with a nice breeze.

Looks like a flash flooding event is unfolding out towards the Carlyle/Centralia/Salem/Flora region...very heavy thunderstorms are nearly stationary with backbuilding occurring.

Finally got a little rain. But, given the amount of lightning and thunder, not nearly as much as I would have expected.

Finally got a little rain. But, given the amount of lightning and thunder, not nearly as much as I would have expected. Should've gone about 3 miles to the east. St. Charles really got soaked between 5-6pm.

We had a downpour in Eureka earlier and quite a fireworks show from the lightning. We were without power for a couple of hours...kudos to Ameren, they were in our neighborhood within 10 minutes of the outage.

Almost no rain at my house in Chesterfield again today. Had thunder for almost 4 hours...but very little rain. It went west, south, east and north. I am fine with that... the swamp in my backyard needs to keep drying out.
