Dewpoint is out of control this morning. Felt like I was stepping into a steam room.

Line of storms firing right on cue. One of those days the HRRR actually nails it. Could be a stormy day for some with that plus the stuff out west.

Looking at radar there's certainly no question where the low is sitting.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a few severe reports across the far S counties today...the flow around the S side of the mid-level low/MCV near Rolla looks enhanced and a cold pool is becoming established behind the blob of storms down towards FAM.

All kinds of boundaries flying across the city. Going to be interesting to see if anything fires on those.

Spectacular downpour here in North St. Pete. I'll check back in with a total when the Davis on the roof catches up!

30 minute downpour = 2.8" of rain according to the Davis on the roof in North St. Pete. I knew it came down hard. The retention pond filled up in a hurry. But that's the most we've had all week. Prior to that the most was a couple hundredths.

I don't have amounts and wasn't home when it happened, but I can confirm north St. Charles had a ton of rain and evidence of some flash flooding issues prior to 5:30pm.

Thank you, it's been a good day so far. Hopefully no rain today. Happy Birthday WeatherJ! Thank you Chris. It was a rain free day. That's a good enough present for me. Thankfully, I remembered to renew my driver's license on the deadline day. It had been sitting in the "reminder" folder for 3 months. Lol.

Euro going a bit further west with the potential tropical cyclone in the Gulf. Has near hurricane making landfall on Central LA coast on Saturday with us getting drenching remnants on Monday and Tuesday next week.
