It has been a very rough morning here after power surge took out a bunch of control room equipment... knocking out the 4am newscast. We are still limping along...but at least on the air.

Areas up around UIN look to be getting double digit rainfall...and that's all dumping into the river. This complex is just sitting up there spinning a hole in the ground while moisture steadily streams in from the west.

Models were forecasting a large pool of high CAPE to develop across S MO today...that'll be fuel on the fire later today and tonight as this thing just parks itself over us. Very significant flooding setup if that occurs...

Weather Service radar total rainfall showed that I got a trace overnight but everything was dry when I woke up 5:30... We're still forecast to get what is being shown I'm grateful I haven't had any rain yet. Stay safe everyone
