Heat advisories for northern Maine. 78*F? It's 95 in Caribou right now and they may hit 100. Looks like the hottest day ever recorded there was 96 back in May 1977. That's crazy - I had no idea it could get that hot there.

Here is the lastest NASA GEOS aerosol forecast at hours 0, 120, and 240. As you can see some Saharan dust is forecasted to make its way into mainland US. Is this highly unusual?

Rain chances are looking good today. Subtle shortwave is moving in from Oklahoma that should produce widespread storm later today

Saharan dust dust means no tropical development for a while too.

Lasted on and off for about 20 minutes. Was already humid as all get out so that didn't get much worse.

Couple of strong gust in Arnold. Guessing 45-50 mph. Enough to throw around some outdoor furniture

AHHHHHH!!!! I feel like Charlie Brown flipping through the air. I fell asleep after getting home from St. Joe Park 4 wheelin'. I awoke to pretty strong gust front moving through, looked at the radar and jumped up to put the wheeler and trailer up. I couldn't believe I made it without getting drenched. Still not a drop 7 miles west of De Soto. Can hear distant thunder though.

I’m hoping the stuff to my sw makes it here. I’d like a good thunderstorm and even with the rain the other night it’s a little crispy here.

Managed a quick 5 minute downpour. I was just looking back at weather station data for Arnold and the last time we had a real good soaker was May 27th

Had a brief shower a half hour ago. Just spotted the driveway. Hopefully more will pop the next few days.
