Isaias blowing up with a new area of convection which looks like it's becoming the main area of circulation now.

They should just cancel all sports this year outside of golf and auto racing as those are pretty social distanced as it is. Only reason they haven't is because of money pure and simple.

NAM with 40s in IL Tuesday am Pretty wild...really does make me wonder what this winter is going to be like. The active TS season is throwing hints too, IMO. Without looking at much so far, my gut tells me winter is going to hit hard and fast...but we know how that can go.

It’d be nice to have a decent winter for a change! I’d be happy with a average winter!

Mean Min. Temp was 88.0º 🤢 But it is a dry heat 😜 Actually, it isn't as dry as it once was. Lots of irrigation down there has changed things a bit.

I think they had a couple weeks in a row or more where temps didn't get below 90..even at night.
Gross

Looking through the setup, im thinking august will have alot of similarities with july in terms of precip amts. Really keeping an eye on mid august too with some very slow rainfall producers, i wld not be surprised to see august go in to the books as an honorable mention for rainfall totals in a similar fashion as july. Now what could this indicate for the cool months. Starting with september, i would have to think theres going to be some balancing act with the beginning of seasonal change. My hunch is for a warmer drier september relative to averages. But cld the recent upper level lows that parked and tracked through the midwest be some kind of premonition of things to come in the colder months? Or will this winter end up resembling some of the dud winters of recent years. Im not a fan of natures wisdom....persimmons seeds, woolly worms, how squirrels store nuts...just fun to watch. Even less of a fan with those who seem to publish the same winter forecast year after year. About the only thing anybody can say at this point is that this winter will be alot colder and snowier than what we are experiencing these summer months. The days will also be shorter.
