Nice little swirl with the cell that passed through Saint Clair County. Rotation is weak, but is quite present on the reflectivity, not so much on the radical velocities though...
Still can't rule out a wall cloud or brief funnel with it. Seems to be gradually weakening as it moves east.

Been mostly sunny here. Seems to be a struggle out west here to get anything going.

digital snow in the rockies north of the MT/Canada border on the GFS early next week Is this early/late/on time? Depends on where it is. If it's on the flat prairie south Calgary yes it is a bit early. If it's in the mountains they can get snow any time of year. We had several inches of wet snow on Logan Pass in Glacier National Park on July 10.

4 games in Detroit postponed. Like there's a way to make them up in 2 months.

Just cancel the damn season already, it's a joke. Any division or league championship will be largely meaningless. Same for winning the World Series.

Enjoy the cool weather this week - looks quite toasty starting this weekend and into next week. Hopefully it will be short lived like most other heat spells this summer and the NW flow can continue to visit us until we get into the fall months.

Massive explosion in Beirut, Lebanon about an hour and a half ago... will not post videos from Twitter...
Absolutely unreal. Loss of life looks extensive.

Man that is crazy to see something resembling a nuclear blast like that. What the hell could have made that kind of explosion? I'm no physicist.

I believe the Tianjian explosion in China back in 2015 was a similar explosion There is nothing similar to that explosion. That left a 40 foot deep creator and levelef everything within a mile. I meant in chemical composition. Upon further review it was *ammonium* nitrate which was the 2nd big blast in the Tianjian disaster.
