OT warning for some shameless bragging on a family member. This is our niece. We sat through numerous squeaky performances of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star when she was little, but the end result is really quite impressive. It's a couple years old, and if you aren't into the classical stuff, just slide it forward to about 2:25 or so.
That was absolutely amazing. Love some good violin music.

Still bugs me when west Texas (All the way to the Mexico border for that matter) gets more snow than we do. Come on... west Texas...Isn't that were cactus grows?

Models still show some action under the small ULL/Cool Pool with 1-3 hours of moderate precip, possibly snow or a mix tomorrow late afternoon. HRRR seems to really hit hard on that. Showing the max of that coming right up I-44.

Saturday's light snow event seems to be steady as she goes with a split area along and especially east of the river, and in central Missouri. 1-3" type event.

Just looking at the over cooked short term models, I guess we are on step something of this place...comparing to 2006....I actually wasn't in St. Louis, so how much ice did the area get during that storm? There were actually 2 significant ice storms that season: 11/30/2006 and 1/12/2007. Although the one in 2006 gets most of the attention on this forum (and probably rightly so) the one is 2007 was far worse than the one in 2006 in terms of scale and magnitude. I actually the saw the destruction from both storms first hand. 2006 was really bad. 2007 was in an entirely new league. Anyway, this event is unlikely to compare with 2006 at least in our area and won't even come close to 2007.

I suppose the million $ question is, will the earlier onset of the precip also translate to an earlier rise in the temps??? My temp is still at 30* since the onset of precip. My temp sensor does not measure in tenths of a degree so I can't tell if the temp is slowly falling or not. Looks like it has stopped again in Farmington but more is moving north.

I'd be extremely surprised if anyone within 60 miles of the arch get over it. 25" of ice accretion.
Maybe somewhere like Herman MO on the bluffs. Maybe.
However Saturday is looking better and better.
We are now in the 60-70 percent probable range for accumulating snow Saturday.
The question is?
Can we get more than an inch.
