I hate blizzards. Snow I can handle, being pushed all over the road due to wind sucks when you can't easily correct.

Radar looks great. For central and west mo.

Was surprised to see it stick on the roads when a snow shower came through a bit ago with temps at 34. Definitely a mitigating factor once the sun comes up. Southern areas may be in a slightly better situation as the main batch looks to arrive late afternoon and into the evening as the sun's effect is waning.

I was barely on the north side of that snow shower. Just slight evidence that 'something' fell on the outbuilding roof. Temp 32*. Sure seems like the snow shield is a little more west than modeled. I was expecting more coverage to the north on the radar this morning.

Radar looks great. For central and west mo. Actually according to the HRRR the snow is right where it’s supposed to be before pinwheeling through this afternoon and evening and blowing up over us ...... now let’s see if this happens lol

Ten seconds of grauple in Ballwin and now breaks in the overcast. This could be a painful day.

Radar looks great. For central and west mo. That's because the radar dead zone in NE MO is deceiving... Solid batch of SNSH moving into the metro within the next 30mins looks pretty great to me.

That batch is right over the top of me on the eastern side of it at this time and it’s just flurries making it to the ground. Not as impressive as what radar would make it look to be at the moment

Radar looks great. For central and west mo. Looks like a nice band of snow is moving into the metro now. The 12Z NAM is much BETTER FOR THE METRO TODAY. things don't really develop for another couple of hours. We will have widespread snow after 10-11AM.

Wow these negative posts are hilariously off base.
The situation is way better this morning then what was modeled yesterday for us.

The HRRR is amazing. We are at the center of the ball of convection.

Yea, it'll get going after noonish. If the little brief shower is any indication we should all be able to have a little fun today. Flake size was great and it was coming down really well while it lasted.

The nam, hrrr, and rap have all doubled their QPF from what they had yesterday for the immediate metro.
The radar is going to explode here shortly.
Some of us will be seeing 1" of snow in 10-15 mins under convective cells.

Wow these negative posts are hilariously off base. The situation is way better this morning then what was modeled yesterday for us. If you’re referring to my comment above (and I hope that’s not the case) I was just reporting with real updates as to what is actually happening in that batch. Never really got more then a heavy flurry out of it and all has melted. Even the grauple and snow grains have now melted here in southern Warren County. But ground is covered in Callaway County (Steedman MO) at my camper

The models don't show actual accumulating precipitation in the metro until 10-11AM and later. And they are showing 0.15-0.20" across the metro now. When yesterday at this time it is was essentially half of that. Right now is a time to be full of anticipation.

Sure is snowing nicely on the Mizzou webcam. And those radar returns aren't very impressive so that's good.

HRRR is locked and loaded for explosive snow squalls this afternoon Pretty unimpressive here in St. Charles County... so far. Small flakes, sun is out and nothing is sticking. 1" or less still very much on track.
