Yeah...it's a little chunky around the hips. I think a transition to diet sprite would do it some good.

Lol...like 1.75" hail and 70mph wind isn't destructive?
Leave it to the government...gotta love it.

"Forecasting"

NBM is about the only thing they mention anymore, besides the GEFS. Kind of odd. There's pretty good consensus for 6 inches in a decent area

is it because 1) it's 2 days out and 2) forecast totals look to be < 6" that they didn't go w/ a watch?

NWS seems to slow play every single event this year......they then play catch up instead of getting out ahead of things .....

Snow depth at the airport is recorded as 1". As such I would not personally classify the potential snow Sun/Mon as snow-on-snow regardless of how much we actually get.

My take, which don't mean squat, would have to take into account the cold we have had in place for 5-6 days, the forecast of bottom falling out cold starting tonight. No matter what falls will instantly make the roads dangerous. Is that not the specific reason for the NWS per se, to protect the public. Maybe it is because this is starting on a Sunday, with Monday being a Federal holiday. I don't know, but Public safety is going to be a concern with the cold and the snow. All the NWS has up right now is a Hazardous Weather Outlook.
