Single vehicle accident on 255 near Godfrey that appeared to be from frost/black ice on the overpass.
28* in Brighton and heavy frost. Barely got into the car with the doors being froze shut. Ah, spring...

Had 29* in Perryville. I guess we'll see how the vegetation has fared in a couple days.
Couple of wrecks on I-55 this morning as well near overpasses. I actually slid a bit on one of them near STG.

SPC has defined a Day 7 outlook across portions of the southern plains. The discussion mentions a "substantial" severe threat with the threat shifting eastward later next week.

I had an appointment this morning in ? 21 and Butler Hill. Anyway, at 7:30am when I left my house there was still snow everywhere. I was surprised that just past Jeff College there was no or very little evidence it snowed. On the way home, 9:30ish, I could see some traces of snow on north facing hills along 21 just north of Jeff College. I still had quite a bit when I got home but there was a substantial waterfall off of the boat cover and outbuilding roof. Nothing out there as of this writing. .

An EF3-EF4 tornado ripping through the heavily populated suburbs of North St. Louis County, with ZERO serious injuries, and ZERO deaths. It's an accomplishment that every professional meteorologist in this town should be proud of to this day.

30* yesterday morning and 29* this morning. It wasn't supposed to, but it was actually colder this morning. I'll remember this little stretch of winter for the rest of my life!

those graphs speak volumes to me. i find it interesting that abt 2 out of 3 of the last 30 winters end up below both the 10 year and 30 yr avg on that year for snow....and for precip abt 40 percent of the past 30 years are below the running 10 and 30 yr avg on that year.

Hey guys, quick quesh. Is the rain Saturday going to be in showery form, or is it going to be a non-stop steady soaker? Got a baseball tournament on turf, so not sure how much they will allow in regard to the weather, but just want to be prepared either way.

Lots of model disagreement in regards to rainfall tonight...the 12z GEM is completely dry for the Metro while the 00z EC drops 1"+ across the region. Seems like they are struggling with convection to the south and partial phasing with the N stream.

GEM trying to hint at another late season Winter Storm near our area but still northwest of us around May 3rd. Nature going for the all time record? Suppose it could be worst, could be talking about 90s and high humidity for which the longer we can delay that kind of heat and humidity the better.
