Definitely tropical type downpours but very little lightning. A little bit around 830 is all.

It’s going to be awfully tight but there just may be a window to get the cardinal game in tonight. I’d still say odds are against it though

NAM 3 has some interesting soundings here this evening. Some destabilization occurring out in N/central MO with broken sunshine...may be more of a severe threat across the region than anticipated given that.

Had .29" so far today. Is that the end of the rain for "up here"? Looks like the split has struck again. Will the void fill back in?

Looks like something went terribly wrong down at Roaring River SP. Lots of campers and cars destroyed in flash flooding.
For those who may not know, thats the far SW corner of Mo and one of 4 trout fishing parks.

Don't like our odds so much now. Seems like NWS wants to dry slot us with the metro dead center in the tenth to quarter inch zone with half inch to an inch north and south of us, and the real heavy stuff staying in Kentucky. I'd call this event a partial bust so far. Not complete as it did rain just only about a quarter inch and the heavier band ended up farther north and south than expected giving us a wider berth.

That said the HRRR seems intent on blowing up a gnarly looking band of storms around Midnight in these parts and the RAP is also somewhat generous but again has the heaviest south of us. 12KM NAM has a rain shield flaring up as it passes us to the south giving us a quarter to half inch, while the 3KM and RGEM/GFS are quite dry but have performed the best overall so far. So while I wouldn't say anything for sure as the HRRR/RAP still say there's a chance but they more or less stand alone. Guess we'll see. Either way it's all outta here by sunrise tomorrow morning with a solid sunny day in store tomorrow especially after 10AM or so.

Not even muddy here. We expecting this gap to fill in tonight? It's been muddy here for like 6 months. Minus a couple weeks.

Blackberry Winter really showing up hard on the GFS in the 6th through 8th/9th time frame with some pretty cool temps for May, nothig ridiculous but hoodie weather nonetheless. After then it looks to flip to more or less pure Summer pattern but we'll see.

Not even muddy here. We expecting this gap to fill in tonight? It's been muddy here for like 6 months. Minus a couple weeks. You must live in a pretty sheltered valley or poor drainage area. Seems like it's always muddy for you unless it really is an actual drought like D2 or above and hasn't rained in like at least a solid month with sun. Not trying to pick on you per say, but it seems like you always complain of soggy grass and lots of Mud.

Dangerous supercell with a confirmed tornado headed towards San Antonio That storm is a beauty of a classic Supercell/HP Supercell. likely baseball to grapefruit hail in that one as well.

Seems like the south just keeps getting hit time and time again. I don't think many people thought it would be so active in the south and dead severe weather-wise in the midwest overall. May and June might change that. Natural northward migration of the Jet should aid in that. Overall it's been a weird but somewhat disappointing Spring weather-wise locally. So far the only highlights is a Doppler Radar indicated Tornado Warning in March that forced everyone to the back of the store @ Schnucks and the 4/20 Winter weather event and associated cool shot but not much else really of note.

Not trying to pick on you per say, but it seems like you always complain of soggy grass and lots of Mud. When it rains an inch or 2 or 3 or 4 every week, or every couple weeks, and during the winter no vegetation to help out, it tends to be muddy. It gets soaked up and evaporated quicker now, but we just had over an inch a couple days ago..now a little more before it was dried out.
