CFS-768HR runs persistently show a near normal temp-wise May with well above normal precipitation. Lots of stubborn troughing in the Mississippi River Valley into the Great Lakes as well. So no big heat events this May it seems for now.

0Z HRRR now splits the metro between the heavier bands. Seems like chances are lowering by the hour for anything significant at least for most of the area. Southeastern tier of counties excluded as odds are ramping up in that area.

Not even muddy here. We expecting this gap to fill in tonight? It's been muddy here for like 6 months. Minus a couple weeks. Our new house has excellent drainage lol Now the river house in St Clair is always muddy till summer lol.

0Z 3KM NAM back to a noisy night along I-44/South of I-70 through the metro, but the 12KM is relatively dry. Time to get the darts and the dart board out on this one.
Relatively dry in as .5 to .75" where as the 3KM which is much wetter is showing 3-5" in a pretty narrow band.

Speaking of the devil, Rain is starting to breakout in the northeastern Ozarks near Rolla and Salem, MO heading northeast and expanding. It appears that she might be finally taking shape, or a false tease?

.73 according to the Davis on the roof in North St. Pete. Most of that was this morning. Considerably more than I would have guessed. I knew it rained hard Wednesday morning. I just thought they were very short bursts.

That's a pretty robust rain band with embedded t-storms from Rolla to east of Waterloo. And if the motion on Radarscope is accurate it's moving over the same ground. Won't be surprised to see FFW come out of that. There's going to be some substantial rain totals..

Well that heavy band last night and this morning really made a mess of things. Roads washed out all over the place down here. Debris all over from flash flooding.

So no big heat events this May it seems for now. that wx pattern looks favorable for another 2 inches or so of rain next week imo. beyond that, rainy pattern continues and if im not mistaken, may is one of our wettest months to begin with, so being above normal for rain on top of that means a lot of rain with potential for flooding.

So sick of the plain old rain. I want some storms here. We didn't get any this go around either. tbh, im glad bc no storms means no hail. just done with hail damage in ofallon but im concerned that this cool spring can bring on hail when we do get storms.

Last night, watching a live stream of severe weather coverage out of DFW oni YouTube, the on air meteorologist said that the sirens everyone can hear are not tornado sirens. They are severe weather sirens and they sound for tornadoes, severe hail and strong winds. He said it's been that way for several years. Wife and I said we've never heard of such a thing.
Is this a north Texas thing?

You can tell it went under at some point. Driveways all along there are washed out. Our neighbors drive way was cut out too. Couldn’t make it out earlier because the low bridges were still a little to deep for me.

It rain very hard for at least an hour strait. Sounded like a hurricane. Lightning, heavy rain, and just a bit of constant wind.
