Couple of outflows hanging around. Probably the best chance to see anything will be along those

Will we see rain and non severe storms towards daybreak and through the day yet tomorrow?

There is likely to be some elevated instability that will remain available for what should be a potent MCS that will pass to our south later tonight. I suspect that gets activated as the center of the mcs passes to our south... resulting in scattered elevated storms embedded in a larger field of rain layer tonight. Might get some small hail with those, bit Id say the severe threat is quickly winding down for the metro.

The storms firing in IL came with some massive rain drops.
But no thunder or lightening

Seems like once again, any hints of a 'warm' pattern are getting squashed by this persistent troughing over the eastern US. Gut still tells me this will likely be either a very mild Summer overall or a rear-loaded one in regards to heat with likely a very active MCS track through our area for much of the season.

wow just wow. talk about a prolonged rainy pattern coming up, with a lot of water starting late this week and continuing until the middle of next week. im guessing if all this rain verifies, 3 to 6 inches of rain is possible as a first guess, rn, along and south of 44 including all metro. some days its going to be rather intense too and i may be guessing too low. i hope things change in terms of amounts, but at the very least a prolonged period of unsettled...no wait, a prolonged period of wet wx coming up.

Quite a night last night in northwest Tennessee. Reelfoot lake was a mess. Power lines down. Trees down everywhere. Houses and vehicles damaged in Samburg. They’re expecting more storms this afternoon so we checked out two nights early. At least the dog got a boat ride and my sister caught a catfish.

If it was winter no way it would be right over us

Looks like another potential heavy rain setup for this weekend...if it doesn't fall apart like the last system.
Severe weather sure has become a rarity around here lately.

Looks like another potential heavy rain setup for this weekend...if it doesn't fall apart like the last system. Severe weather sure has become a rarity around here lately. My sister has a graduation that should be outside (so family and friends can go). Saturday will be a wet, soggy, cool mess of a day. Plus I'll have my nutjob of a dog in the area, so it will pour and she won't be able to go outside.

I am going to wait one more week to plan. I am seeing models getting too close to comfort for minor frost in sheltered areas next week, and they seem to come in colder by the day, looks like I am waiting till after Tax Day May 15th this year. Absolutely crazy. 36-42 on the coldest nights are increasingly likely at this stage
