Starting to look like the second half of the month could be much more active severe wise as the NW flow looses it's grip.

So sorry for your loss Bob. It's one of the hardest things to lose a pet. Just remember the good times, I'm sure there are lots of them. I have a golden doodle as well..3 and 1/2 years old. He's nuts.

So sad...sorry. She had an amazing life! My black lab Cash lived to be 15.5. You guys obviously were amazing dog owners! Otherwise, it got down to 36* this morning...a good 4* colder than forecasted.

I show a low of 36* sometime this morning. Sitting at 37* right now. Yesterday's low showed 50*. I can't find any confirmation on that. STL had a low of 40* and several on here posted mid-upper 30's, mainly north of me.

My low was 37 this morning, once again patchy frost on rooftops. Amazing stretch of weather this late in the season, likely will have once more frost threat tonight then the nights should be warmer. So yesterday in st.peters 36, this morning 37, lets see what tomorrow is.

This year is reminding me of 2008 rain chances every weekend April- July and a overall cool year 2008 was much wetter but I could see a summer like 2013 with frequent rain and storms and a stubborn NW flow.

In my opinion its a bit dry. I am watering plants and its way too early for that. In addition i feel like there is a solid thread of frost tonight and also breaking the record low of 40 at lambert for the 13th of May.

Looks like another wet weekend on tap. Getting kind of tired of that.

Looks like another wet weekend on tap. Getting kind of tired of that. GFS looks pretty robust as of right now, but it has overdone it in the mid range lately. The big low rolling out of the SW may make for wet times well into next week though.

I watered this morning but didn’t really need to. Ground here isn’t muddy but it’s damp. I’m ready for some warmer dry days.

Frost advisories already up for the eastern ozarks. Absolutely nuts this late in the year.

GFS hinting at a tropical depression or storm striking Louisiana and shooting up our way as extra moisture. Also nice heat dome at the Day 10+ time frame. Let's see how quickly it weakens and fails to develop as we get closer. Lastly looks very wet starting later this weekend into Month end. Potentially extremely wet 6-12" of rain by day 15/16.

What's the time frame for that (far from set in stone) tropical system? May 24th Landfall on the 18Z GFS. Most other models have just a tropical wave like the GEM that merges into the mess of disturbances in the Mississippi River Valley. Let's see what 0Z shows.
