Looks like temps may overachieve today with nearly full sunshine across the region. And the humidity is still solidly in the "gross" category. Yeah... I was expecting the canopy to hold longer this morning... but it dried up pretty quickly. I almost cut my temp a couple of degrees. Glad I didnt

It doesn’t feel that bad out. Maybe I’m just used to the super nasty if the last few days.

Really surprised at the lack of convection with the MCV crossing MO that Coz mentioned...seems like maybe the atmosphere got completely turned over yesterday and never really recovered despite the daytime heating.

Major quake in Haiti. 7.2 I believe in the western section of the country.
Also another quake in southern sections of Alaska again. 7.0?

The Davis on the roof in North St. Pete reported 1.1" from Thursday's event. He's a little slow with the report.

Anyone been invaded by dragon flies? Hundreds of them showed up a couple days ago. We’ve had dozens of them flying around our yard the past few weeks. Also a ton of crickets in the yard. Don’t know if the two are related

We have gnats in the house that we can't find the source. Seen the gnats in other environments as well.

Latest run of the HWRF turns Grace into a bit of a monster.
Florida and The Gulf Coast might have something to keep a close eye on by the end of this week.

Good thing 'ol Fred doesn't have much more time over the water. Overnight he became quite organized and concentric.

Looks like the ridge is going to build in again towards this weekend into next week bringing the hot and humid weather back. Longer range modeling does show a large-scale pattern change late in the month though, with a trof deepening into the E US. Of course, any tropical systems that develop near the US could delay that.

Looks like the strong ridge to the north of Grace is going to steer her well south of the US and into Mexico. Unless something drastically changes.

Mowing is a weekly affair...at least...and it's 6" tall or more and enough hay to bale it. Same as last year...lots of rain when it's usually drying up.

Same as last year...lots of rain when it's usually drying up. A little part of me misses the 2012 drought when I was done mowing for the year on Father's Day. Not the part that hates the endless days of 100*+ temps. The other part.

I don’t mind mowing as long as it’s not 95+ or crazy humidity.
