I would like it to at least feel like the holidays instead of early spring. We get enough of that crap. Luckily, Thanksgiving was blustery and cold, but I know what you are saying. Overall it's mild. Having it feel like the holiday the day of it is better than nothing I guess though.

Models keep looking half decent towards D10 but they keep going back to the same look we've seen for a month or more as we get closer. Not going to have much interest until we signs of a wholesale pattern change like 920 mentioned. It's definitely possible that the pattern could turn on a dime, but I'm not holding my breath.

We didn’t get snow in November, just Jack Frost! Hope that’s a good thing!

I think we all can get used to this weather though. This in a way is nicer than snow

um...no. We have this weather 80% of the year. Snow is almost a novelty around here. Having it..and at least systems to watch keeps things interesting instead of extreme boredom from absolutely nothing happening.

Ok of you are into hunting I agree, however this may be the new norm so we just need to enjoy what it is. Life is too short. So many things have happened in my life this year that boredom is just nice for a while.

We need it in Colorado. We going to go up in smoke next summer if we don't make up for it in the Spring. Having La Nina forecast to stick around well into next year doesn't bode well for us.

It is all but certain that the month of November 2021 will go in the record books as the 3rd driest November on record.

Anyone have data on how the winters were that followed a very dry November? I'm too lazy. I will try..... Top 10 driest Novembers.... 1949.......0.10" 1989.......0.59" 1910.......0.30" 1903.......0.61" 1969.......0.44" 1962.......0.71" 1904.......0.54" 1999.......0.72" 1920.......0.56 1976.......0.73" Of the Top 10 driest Novembers, Dec 1969 came in with 10.2" of snow. We know the cold from Dec. 1989. Nothing else is striking accept this.....Jan. 1990 came in at 7th place for least snowiest Dec. with 0.20" of snow. I did not notice any other 'good' news except...Jan. 1977 came in first with 23.9" snow and Jan. 1904 came in 8th with 14.3" of snow. I would say if we have another 1989 type cold outbreak this Dec. it could be a very dry Jan. Strictly looking at The Top 10 List info.

Models definitely look a bit more supportive for some wintry weather into next week. The elongated ridge over the N tier and an inverted trof underneath is supportive of an overrunning or secondary system. But the depth of the cold air and whether it can be maintained is questionable. Something to keep an eye on...models want to drop a little snow or mix N of the warm front early week.
