Had to turn on the furnace on for the first time this season this morning. Do you live in an older home? I grew up in an old farmhouse and it sure did get cold quickly. The ancient windows didn't help. Currently in a new house with better windows that sure make a difference.

We seem stuck in this pattern of a strong trough off the west coast of Canada and ridge over northern Canada. Not going to see any cold air shots east of the Rockies until that changes

PV disruption should knock us out of the pattern by the 2nd week of November. I would expect another early season snowfall in the region

If there's PV disruption it may be cold later November into December. Then nice and warm January thru November.

Please say a prayer for Woogie. She had another procedure this morning. It went well but she's been through so much she needs all of our support.

Looks like another severe weather episode for the middle of the country coming up. Unusual stuff for October

Well RadarScope added a satellite imagery base map for Pro Tier Two subscribers.
Looks like I have to upgrade to tier two

Thanks for the heads up on Radarscope. I think have tier 2 sub right now so I'll check that out.
And yeah severe weather somewhere in the middle of the US next week is looking more likely. Some crazy moisture 65-70 Tds, if not a bit overdone maybe, showing up in models for late October is unusual.
