To have GEFS look that good is awesome. Don’t get all bent out of shape Over the 18z nam at the last 25% of its run.
GEFS has slowly but surely looked better every single run almost.

My wife already booked a hotel for this week so she can get down town to children’s for work before the hospital fills it up. Sorry, storm is canceled. 2 more weeks Children’s Hospital is not downtown.

The mean QPF is up to 2.6” for the metro on the 18z GEFS
Ya were going to lose some of that to rain on the front end but that’s a ton of moisture

I don't think I've ever seen the GEFS print out that much snow for St. Louis. If we end up with less than 6" then it's going to happen as a notable failure by that model.

That's the 1982-ish aspect of this to me...we'll see if persistent banding or TSSN develops.

Same. Clearly more red in the stands than blue lol. Though I’m not sure Jimmy G/John Stamos can get it done.

Who is going to be bold enough in here and admit they are rooting for the Rams?

Who is going to be bold enough in here and admit they are rooting for the Rams? Why would you possibly root for the Rams?

18z euro is a lot of rain to a ton of ice to a nice snow for a lot of the metro. Northwestern metro gets a bunch of ice and snow.
Wave #2 is alive and well on this run

Has about .5 zr, 1" sleet and looks to be a significant amount of snow

Probably pure ZR for SE areas after the switch from rain.

I’m a huge believer that this kicker wave delivers. The euro has clearly caved to the gfs with it developing and making it north (not quite as far north).
That thing could really clobber the area and bring strong winds.
Can’t wait to see the mesoscales really get a stab at this thing.

If you cut the metro in thirds I’d say best guess going into 00z tonight
southern 1/3: .25-.5 ice, 1-3” sleet and 2-4” snow Middle 1/3: .25-.5 ice, 1-2” sleet and 4-8” snow Northern 1/3: up to an inch of mix, 8-12” snow

Has about .5 zr, 1" sleet and looks to be a significant amount of snow A line from Farmington to Mount Vernon is virtually all ZR and sleet after the rain on this particular run. Doesn’t mean it is right, but just reporting what the 18z euro shows. ** However, the run only goes out 90 hours and there is a major deformation band swinging through that would change to snow for you dropping several inches

This storm has unreal potential with moisture coming into it.
