I just scraped/cut as much sleet and ice as I could off my parking lot with a 3point blade, that stuff is tough, and I even put calcium chloride on it this morning

Measured about 4.5 to 5 inches in Wentzville. I can confirm around 4/5 inches. Nice little burst the last hour. Excited for round 2. St. Charles will put up another 4-6 and STL county and south have a real shot at 6-9

Good morning from snow purgatory, aka Warson Woods/Kirkwood area. Very light snow all morning with heavy dusting so far, half inch or so. Grass tops showing. Still hoping for salvation. OK, feeling better now with close to moderate snow, decent flake size. Thanks for your prayers.

Just went outside to take measurements in Edwardsville. Just a hair over 3" averaging them out (all hard, flat raised surfaces). Flake size and intensity has definitely decreased but it looks like there's one last batch of heavier precip in the 35-35dBZ returns moving in before wave 1 starts to really shut down. Wave 2 down in TX/OK really starting to pull together. Let's hope it delivers.

I’m guessing about an inch of “stuff” in Arnold
It’s a mix of fzr/sleet/snow grains
Neighborhood street is ice covered

I got a feeling we won’t see the high snow numbers when all is done. Around the 6-8 in range.

Can already see the mid-level flow backing ahead of the next shortwave upstream with the radar blossoming across central TX into SW OK. Looks like that should develop and move across the region after 10pm or so.

Winter storm warning just updated. Looks like the NWS has shaved the totals down quite a bit. Down to 5 to 8 inches. Still respectable, but was hoping for more.

Its 5 to 8 additional inches for the northwest metro, even the 5 will put us in doupled digits.

Getting a nice yellow band on radar moving through stl county and city Fyi-this band is all snow in stl city, heaviest snow yet of the storm for my location. Hope it stays that way for u guys in IL. CAUTION do not eat the snow from the yellow bands.

Chris 7 to 11 will verify in the metro, no problem. I know folks in st.louis county had 1 to 3, but st.charles had 3 to 6 across the county, so add 5 to 8 puts the totals in the 8 to 14, but shave a little off and we are exactly storm total where forecasted.

I don't really call an additional 6-10 inches "number shaving" I think some on here have had this apocalypse mentality when in reality, this storm is performing as advertised. Models have done an outstanding job of laying this storm out and in the end, this will have been an outstanding storm to follow. Here's to tonight
