This might be the last gasp for me. Everything else looks south.

Yes Troy is pretty far north, you probably have some light snow for several hours but nothing overly exciting

We’re under that heavier band in Earth city snowing pretty hard bigger flakes now . Lots of blowing and drifting, all roads are snow and ice packed . Until now it’s been around 1/2” an hour type snow , probably a little stronger than that under this band

Took a nap. Still nothing but sleet.

Still mostly sleet here in Perryville. Hoping that can change in the next couple hours.

Sleet won the overnight. About an inch and a half of stuff here in SG. Very small flakes finally falling. Very windy. What a bummer. Hopefully several hours of snow can still happen.

Don’t know where your location is but at my house both sleet and snow fell. We had less than an inch and probably close to .3 to half inch of sleet/ice/snow yesterday. This morning as I look out my window entire ground is covered. So maybe switchover here occurred sooner compared to your location. I’ll measure when I can in a bit.

Eyeballing but have to be over 4” total. Wind is whipping and really good returns moving in. 10” very possible.

Judging by the correlation coefficient, the snow / sleet line has made it through all of SG county

Woke to maybe 3"? It's being blown... so its almost impossible to measure. Strangely, the "aura" this morning is what woke me. What I mean is, thanks to the glowing of all the city and SAFB lights, its a lot brighter than normal. Sunrise isn't for another hour and 15 minutes. Good morning and I hope you all enjoy the snow.

Flake size is definitely increasing now. I'm wondering if the better lift is just now getting started.

Solid sheet of medium flakes falling in Brighton and 14* Can't really tell how much we've got so far but it's several inches. Will go measure in a few.

Judging by the correlation coefficient, the snow / sleet line has made it through all of SG county Correct. Based on what Mr. Higgins posted on Facebook page and what you said or showed with post, it may have arrived sooner here than at your location based on what I have on ground. Curious to measure just to see if I have more here than inch and half reported earlier by you. That would explain why.

Been up since 2:30am due to the glow from outside. It is absolutely pouring snow here, in Roxana and has been for a good couple hours. Temp is 16* I'd have to guess right now, but at least a good 3 inches of new snow. Can't wait for sunrise!

Yes your correct , no way st Charles has anything remotely close to that , probably 7” maybe 8” at the most from both days. We received around 3-4” so far today, our private forecast company’s both said around 2-4” left through noon in the metro, 4” south and 2” or so north . Some possible snow showers this afternoon but should not amount to much

Haven't been outside yet.
But looks like 4-5" attm.
The HRRR has moderate snow along and East of the river all day.
With another 6-8" in Belleville.
Crazy

I’m gonna head out in measure in a second.
Like I said yesterday, and especially for those northern areas, never underestimate how fast high ratio light to moderate snow can add up. It’s incredible.

Agree, almost impossible to measure this stuff. We do have some drifts starting to build. Just guessing 2-3 so far We ended up shutting down the plant today, since we have a lot of employees that come from surrounding rural communities, out here where nobody lives. Woke to maybe 3"? It's being blown... so its almost impossible to measure. Strangely, the "aura" this morning is what woke me. Yep. When it's a solid sheet of flakes falling it is very efficient in piling up. You don't need the fluff balls for high SLRs.

Somebody talk me off the snow ledge. Looking at radar , radar returns northwest of 44 look to be eroding or are drying up I’m assuming by dry air and it is only 6:30. Can one of the experts explain if that no snow on radar line is moving quickly east or do we have some stuff still getting it’s energy and act together to our southwest?

Backbuilding apparent on SGF and TUL radars...this is going to last well into the day across most of the region, especially E of the river.

The plow came though at 4:00 and our street is completely covered again. I’m guessing we have 3” but it’s blowing all over the place. Barnhart, MO
