With accumulating snow winding down I took a final measurement. 6 1" in wave 2 for a storm total of 9.5 in my locale of St. Pete.

Hard to measure with all the blowing. I had a 12” deep box on my back deck hoping to keep blowing in and out minimal. Measured and dumped out at about 7am with 4.5”. Measured 2.75 additional. Combined with about .75” of stuff yesterday I’m at 8.0” all in give or take 1/2” for this storm. Will see if fellow Arnold peeps are close. Snowstorm920 is about 1/4mi away I think. Shrapnel? in lower area maybe? Elkay is due east on the other side of the river and almost always about the same.

Hard to get a good measurement, but I think 11” for Wentzville. Can anyone else verify?

A neat look on Weather Underground National map. It looks like 3 distinct storms with 3 trailing cold fronts, the last one having the big thunderstorms.

Glenn Z reported at 4pm 5" in Arnold, seems pretty low.

Glenn just said the metro is not done with snow. Round 3 later tonight is a go. He was pretty vague. It looks like the southern viewing area MAY get it.

This stuff was hard to measure accurately though. You method sounds much more accurate than mine which was just measuring in a relatively sheltered area.

Right about 6.5" here in Edwardsville. Haven't noticed much drifting yet but the winds are starting to pick up. Light snow is winding down now.

I agree with adj, the gfs I believe is the winner with this one. It was a little too cold on the sleet/snow side. That’s becoming a bit of a theme with the new gfs. But if you know that bias and it is consistent, that’s something you can work with.
HRRR has another 2-3 hour round of snow developing here shortly but we will see if that happens.

Calling it 10" storm total here in Brighton. Snow has tapered to flurries and the cloud deck is breaking up. Drifts across the driveway up past my calves. I'm literally snowed in with the tractor being out of commission.
What a storm!

I'm not even going to attempt it with the subaru...it'll just get hung up on the chassis.

The drift on our front porch is probably three feet deep. Always the case with these types of snows. No chance of me getting into the garage, either; and I'm not about to go out and shovel. Actually hoping the neighbor stays away with his skidsteer this year, since we just poured a big concrete pad out front.
Anywho...MO interstates were good, but I was also poking along behind a gang of plows. IL roads (64/255/15) weren't great, but weren't awful. I just wish people would remember that it's all about momentum and keeping it. Objects in motion...

Final measurement. Ended up between 7 and 7.25. Tough to get a good measurement with the wind blowing. That doesn't include the 1/2 inch of ice from yesterday.
