I was outside shoveling snow all day at the civic center Metrolink
I can't see how folks only got 6-8".
There were 3 times that we picked up nearly an inch per hour.
Then between 250 and 4pm it was Heavy heavy snow.
During the moderate to heavy snow today we picked up heavy dustings in a couple mins

Hard to measure with all the blowing. I had a 12” deep box on my back deck hoping to keep blowing in and out minimal. Measured and dumped out at about 7am with 4.5”. Measured 2.75 additional. Combined with about .75” of stuff yesterday I’m at 8.0” all in give or take 1/2” for this storm. Will see if fellow Arnold peeps are close. Snowstorm920 is about 1/4mi away I think. Shrapnel? in lower area maybe? Elkay is due east on the other side of the river and almost always about the same. Im right by the police station, I was thinking 7-8" or so in Arnold also. Glenn Z reported at 4pm 5" in Arnold, seems pretty low. Thanks, I thought he was a little low too. 7.5 sounds good. I’m about 1/2 mile down Telegraph from JeffCo.

We cleared an area between 8-9am bare concrete.
When we cleared it again at 330 it was 5-6" again no drifting.

This stuff was hard to measure accurately though. You method sounds much more accurate than mine which was just measuring in a relatively sheltered area. Thanks. I thought you were catty-corner from me on the other side. Going with 7.5”. Great fun to watch

how are the highways through jeffco south county and leading to midamerica airport? Looking at MoDOT cameras anywhere from mostly covered to a few lanes of tire width pavement strips www.gatewayguide.com/index.html

I'm hearing rumblings about something maybe brewing towards mid-month but I really haven't looked at anything beyond this current storm, TBH! I was assuming this beast would calm the waters for a while...

I was assuming this beast would calm the waters for a while... 18z GFS sniffing some things out. Maybe some clippers and then one around the 13th and another on the 18th. Cold air looks to be “relaxing” and by that I mean maybe some 30s only to drive down again. On another note, I’m done plowing for the day. Nothing like breaking a lower ball joint on the wheeler when you are in a 2’ drift.

Yes, there are several shots of snow around mid month. Right now, separate events, but they are so close together, if things come together for a single event, we could repeat. right now, best chances models taken verbatim would impact southerners.

mccarthb, did you get a measurement? I am estimating 12 inches maybe? I had 12” not too far from you so between 11-12 has been the mean out here it seems. Great forecast. Y Chris and great analysis by the key people in here. Looks like everyone got in on the action on this one so it deserves an A.
