Everything is ice covered here including roads. Had heavy sleet for a while and it added up quickly. Now just very light icy type snow. Pulaski /Phelps line I show my temp at 31 currently

Folks South of 70 aren't getting Jack. The mid level features are ripping the dry slot North faster and farther than they modeled last night. It's a big change for the immediate metro. Ic your live in Wentzville to Troy MO to Jerseyville IL you will probably see an hour maybe more of sleet. If you live along 44/64 you might see a brief changeover to sleet. Folks along and North of 70 might get an inch of snow this afternoon. 44/64 maybe sleet and snow showers no accumulation Latest HRRR and RAP beg to differ. Not to seeing it for us. The dry line is racing NE. It's going to push through Franklin county by 11AM. I hope we get some sleet and light snow this afternoon.

Temp bouncing between 35-36* for the last hour or so 7 miles west of De Soto. Rain continues. Lost power for 45 minutes at some time this morning. Glad it's back on. That dry slot looks mighty large to my west. I wish the rain would stop though.

I know one system at a time, but late next week looks mighty interesting on the modeling. Yep, looks like a pretty good chance with all models showing a very similar solution. Hopefully not too much ice.

There is precip behind the dry line but it's much lighter and scattered

Looks like we will get about 1/4 inch of sleet out of this, the roads are now a mess in st.charles county. Now we wait for an inch or 2 of snow. Which to.me looks very doable after the dryslot. Chris nailed this forecast. Great job.

I think the layout is correct with this storm, however the speed seems faster than models thought. Which will keep the huge snow and sleet amounts in check.

50/50 sleet snow mix in Washington. I bet we get close to 1/2 inch of sleet.

Man that dry slot is ROCKETING our way. Still haven't changed over to sleet in Edwardsville. No way we end up with any more than a light coating of sleet. This was really a hard one to pin down, models struggled right up the end. The sleet maps from the NAM last night gave me pause. The traditional/old school forecasting Chris did was the way to go.
0.25" sleet, 1-2" of snow is what I expect now IMBY.

Starting to get a concerning amount of glazing out here now...with the wind gusting there could be some power outage potential. Have only had a few pings of sleet so far. 31*

Short range models are very predictable in the patterns they present at certain stages.
