I know one system at a time, but late next week looks mighty interesting on the modeling. Yep, looks like a pretty good chance with all models showing a very similar solution. Hopefully not too much ice. Ya icing could be a concern with that setup. That’s a big time arctic airmass spilling into the plains and Midwest with energy riding up along the eastern baroclinic zone.

Sitting at 31° in Arnold with rain still falling. Not seeing much in the way of ice accreation. Time of day is definitely helping there

Mixed bag in O Fallon, MO. More wintry precip falling as ground is almost all white. Temp hovering 32-33. Hard to tell if we’re at freezing yet.

I’m late to this new disco but is anyone talking about the wind with this storm? The mix of wind and ice just doesn’t sit well with me.

Dipped to 31F now in Edwardsville, starting to hear loud pings of sleet outside. Dry slot filling in a bit and backbuilding slightly?

Yes, the dry slot is collapsing some as strong mid-level Fgen develops. Like Friv said, the tail end is targeting primarily areas along/N of 70 which was expected.
