Thanks for posting the radar inflow/outflow radar. I’ll keep watching it but that helps!

Heads up St. Mary/Chester/Kaskaskia...mesocyclone tightening up on velocity

Good reflectivity appearance on the St. Genevieve CO supercell. Low level mesocyclone is a bit broad at the moment, but tightening just a bit in the last frame. Subtle triple body scatter spike pretty much guarantees severe hail present though.

Thanks BrTN. My parents are in Brewer. On phone now with them. They are watching radar.

Sure looks like tight enough rotation now to warrant a tornado warning. I would expect to see a warning any min.
Then again the rotation looks a bit more broad on the next pass so maybe not.

Lol, now it looks much more defined to my untrained eyes.

Now reports from my dad that hail is up to quarter and some golf ball sized hail in Brewer.

Nice flying eagle presentation on that tornado warned cell

The warning for Fredericktown seemed to verify ok. Most of the storm went just north of the city proper but a few quarter sized hail stones blew out of the storm before the rain ever fell. Pretty cool.

I’ll end up being both radar-watcher and bourbon-drinker tonight. The girls were headed right up 55 from Cape for the concert. I was on the phone with them for the better part of 30 minutes. They stopped in P’ville to let the storm pass. It looked like it was weakening, so they started back on the road…right as it tightened up and went tornado-warned. Another half dozen phone calls, more stopping and waiting, a little hail, some wind. Never a dull moment.

I honestly thought when the Perryville storm started to weaken, that the one toward Ftown would become the dominant one of the two.

I cannot confirm a tornado but multiple trees down just north of Perryville. I counted 4-5 pieces of large tin laying next to interstate 55 around MM 134.

Dad’s boss called (my dad works for Perry County Road and Bridge) and he said trees are down along 806 to RFC( Richaradet Floor Covering). That would be almost exact path as the F4 tornado through Perryville several years ago.

Somebody let me know if they send a team down to investigate whether it was a weak tornado , or wind damage.

Chris Higgins, my dad said he just passed you. Hope I was able to point you in the specific direction to go for a report of the storm damage. Sounded liked trees and some building material lofted and tossed about per his phone call. He has to help remove trees over roads and probably will be working into the evening.

I was sweating that one out here in Perryville. That couplet was pretty tight for a few minutes, I bet it put down a brief tornado. Also can anyone confirm the golf ball hail near Brewer?

My dad was just north of the Brewer exit and said it hailed dime size, stopped briefly and then quarter size hail started to fall. He described the largest stones as small ping pong to golf ball. However, they hit the basement about that time so it might be good to see what radar or another report might say out of that area.

Only have a picture of the quarter size one that he sent to my phone. I could try and upload that with the video sometime today or tomorrow. Trying to find the easiest way to do both.

LLJ is going to be absolutely cranking Monday night leading to some beefy SRH numbers. Bulk shear is only around 30kts though and low level lapse rates are pretty poor.

No question the damage North of Perryville near Brewer is from a tornado. Estimating it likely to be EF1. It is only a few 100 yd North North of the EF4 tornado 4 tornado from 2017. I actually ran into somebody whose home was destroyed in that tornado we will who was there helping to clean up.
