Yikes. It looks like 2009’s little brother at the moment. Really getting the bow together.

How long before it reaches the river?
I am heading home from Edwardsville on transit.
If it holds off until 5pm I will make it ok.

This one has more of a NE motion to it, though.

Is the circulation tracking due east? East, north east? North east?

Heads up Bourbon and Sullivan...that supercell appears to be trying to turn right and wrapping the RFD around.

Still looks like most of it will be south of 64. I hope so. That new cell so far has a quick northerly look.
But the overall system looks like it will stay mostly South of 64.

Dewpoint has spiked 7* here in the past 3 hours...definitely strong destabilization occurring ahead of this. The entire metro is looking to be under the gun now. This is becoming a very potent setup for the region.

Shear/instability is definitely maximized S of 44/64 but low-level moist advection and heating is destabilizing the metro rapidly.

Been super busy at work and took a brief look radar. This thing looks really impressive on radar.
Would not be surprised to see some significant wind reports eventually.

Tropical like appearance on VIS/IR satellite and radar. You can see the cyclonic low level inflow underneath an expanding anti-cyclonic canopy on visible. Rotating storms in an arc, similar to spiral bands of vortical hot towers on IR.

Good that a portion of the line isn’t warned anymore. We’ll see if that lasts.
