Crazy how cold it gets on the Euro. From low 40s at 6am to below 0 at 6pm with a blizzard and extreme wind chills.

One thing all models show is the massive temp drop from 40’s to teens in 6 hours with precipitation falling talk about flash freezing situation

Thing of beauty Slight negative tilt with the shortwave is a big positive. Those thickness levels are so close together just SWSSE away from the 500mb low! Someone should bookmark this run. |

If it's going to be that cold, it would be nice to have some decent snow to look at. Otherwise I am going to be one unhappy woman! I can't stand the cold! This system certainly does look impressive.

If there was ever a setup that would bring legit blizzard conditions here, it would be what the EURO shows. 70kt+ stinger jet aimed right through the region with the tightest pressure gradient I think I've ever seen modeled here. If only it weren't still 5+ days out...but the models are starting to show the potential for an amped up storm to develop nearby with sub-zero temps crashing in behind it.

My biggest concern is a late kaboom. Plenty of good things happening and plenty of moisture to work with.
