SN falling here, winds picking up, with SN already blowing sideways. Flake size looks to be pretty decent too.... was this expected or will they become smaller as temps drop? Where are you at again RB? |

Light sleet falling in Edwardsville. Lower level so not showing up on most radars. Temp dropped from 34F to 27F in TEN minutes. This is it, folks.

Is the heaviest tracking just south of metro or will the radar expand?

Looks like southerners are going to get some really heavy snow Yeah hires short term models are showing extra enhanced snow along but mostly SE of 44/64. We'll see. It doesn't really matter. The snow will be impossible to measure. Everyone is going to have near whiteout conditions. |

Streamers developing underneath the snow shield on radar. The streamers and the lighter returns blowing up over the immediate metro are below 2K feet. Not sure if that is just flurries or what because the air mass from the surface to 3K feet is already cold enough for ice crystals to form |

Winterstorm warning expanded on southeast mo. Now all in mo except the bootheel and all of il under wsw. Of course the wcw is the big item and it covers much of the nations midsection.
