That's a nice mesoscale band that's hitting Washington and about to hit Union! Looks like some more development on the NE edge so the western side of STL county and the south will get in on an additional heavy dusting. It's starting to have a slight cyclonic movement to it too which may help areas further east in STL county.
Light snow here in Northern Wildwood.
Just as I say that, it's weakening.

There is a little uptick to my north...hope to at least see a good burst. Nothing beyond flurries really here yet. Temp is down to 25*.

Neither system during this stretch was a legit bust and we got some snow out of the deal. It could have easily been near/below zero with bare ground...how many times have we seen that?

Well what a pure winter blast we are finally coming out of, crazy how we made such little snow stay on the ground so long, I got up to 32 degrees today while a few spots briefly got above, I am ready for the rain to wash the chemicals off the roads and clean up the cars.
We are having a beautiful snowfall right now in St.peters with another light coating.
Tomorrow afternoon should start melting away.
Hope everyone has a safe week as we head into a Happy New Year weekend.
We will be traveling to Salina Ks for my wife's family Christmas and the weather looks much better for traveling this week.

The upstream ridge is dampening this thing quickly...rising heights aloft. It held together just long enough.

I will say that these dendrites sure made all the snow left beautiful.
I figure everything else on asphalt anything like that is going to be gone tomorrow probably pretty much about everything unless it's protected in the north facing way.
Then on Wednesday I can't see it being anything below 55 so all the snow will be gone by then.
Now we're getting that very very end of the clipper upper level snow deal where it starts to become partly cloudy and you still have fallen light snow.
Hopefully this early January blow torquing only last for 10 to 14 days we get the Siberian Express back together and can get back on the snow and cold

I think we could have something as early as the 6th and will be rocking and rolling by the 15th.
