I did not go look. I saw that some people over near Breese were able to see them.

Hey guys, is this weekend going to be a washout? Got a baseball tournament, and we have had some miserable weather for baseball as of late on the weekends.

Saw some dust devils over plowed/planted fields today...hope this rain pans out tomorrow. I still have a bad feeling about this summer being dry and hot.

Yikes, 7 posts in 72 hours.....must not be any snow on the horizon. I was able to mow everything yesterday evening and it was pretty dusty. Definitely need this system to 'produce', because there isn't alot of precip ahead on the models. It was nice seeing the drought areas to our southwest pick up some needed rain. Looks like 1.5-2" of rain over northern OK has fallen recently.

Most of my weather milestones are based on a grass mowing season and wood cutting season(scientific I know). Have a large yard that normally requires push mowing near our wet weather spring this time of the year. Haven't had to do that. We're pretty dry. The last time I believe I've made it this long without push mowing during the spring....2012......

Might start to get dark after sunset this evening. We will hv to see how that pans out. Looks progressive, though, and will only last about 10 hours at any location. What darkness we do get will likely be gone by sunrise.

A lack of lift in the DGZ (Darkness Growth Zone) is going to really limit this event.
Time of year not on our side either

Ya, and there’s nothing on the horizon either. Things look to get more active in mid May maybe. Until then enjoy the cool days.

Does anybody on here have spectrum? We've been out for about 6 hours and was originally given a repair time of 5:30. Some of the down detector sites suggest that this is a pretty big outage in the St Louis area.

This isnt ideal heading into summer -PDO is to blame and it's not weakening... It's Strengthening!!! If it doesn't fade by the end of the Month (end of May), then 2012 like Summer is a sealed deal!

He gave us the old head fake with predicting a cool summer, but we all knew a reference to 2012 was inevitable. Just as the Cardinals will inevitably start to win again at some point. Regression to the mean in all things.

Looks like a pretty good chance for soaking rain and storms on Thursday/Fri as subtropical moisture and energy over the Baja region spreads into the area and interacts with a wavy boundary. Luckily ground moisture is running low because there looks to be some localized heavy rain potential with that setup and the MS river will be nearing crest around then as the snow melt surge moves through.
The large-scale pattern looks to become consistently warm towards the latter half of next week and beyond as the persistent blocking pattern finally breaks down.
