We’re in Cape G moving the kids into their new home. Looks like the worst winds are going through Fayetteville and heading to St Libory again.

41mph gust at the homestead. Probably enough to blow off some old shingles.

Just checked the rain gauge and we just received 23mm with this line so sitting right at 37mm or very close to 1.5" and still light rain falling.

Can't wait to see the animated lifecycle of this storm.
I thought the new wea alert was great. These winds demand respect.

We have no power down here , the winds tore off the doors of my shed and my son lost part of a tree ….. could be better but could be worse lol Lost a bunch of shed shingles. House roof is good. Put a new net on the trampoline last year. It’s too fine—doesn’t let the wind through like the old one did. Poles are smoked on the west side.

I drove into town to check the other house and I had 3 sections of privacy fence down …… I just finished putting them back up lol

Max gust was 25mph, but the northwest is the worst direction for obstructions at my house. No way I could get the sensors high enough to read with 100 confidence due to trees, but it matches with surrounding stations.
Radar estimated peak imby was 56mph at 2200 feet above ground level. We were between two areas of higher velocity returns.
Rainfall was .51

Lost power for sevenish hours. Years ago I had some trees dropped around the house to make sure the house was good from tree damage. That black cherry tree came down 90deg from what you would have thought. Basically it took a heck of a wind gust to bring it down that direction(trunk looks twisted). Top must have blown out before the tree came down. Citizens fished it out of the power lines around 10 last night.
Storm snuck up on me. Wife and I were on the driveway out when it hit. Trees were folded if over the road, some of the strongest day time winds I’ve seen in my life to this point. Rain wasn’t much.

Glad it’s going to be in the 80s today. Still no ETA on power restoration. Doesn’t this seem odd …. 12 hrs without power and no time table? The damage doesn’t seem that over the top

I don't envy those linemen. They've been mostly working in the heat and humidity since the weekend before the 4th restoring power only to have a bunch of customers get knocked out by another round of storms.
I wonder if it's a worse job in the heat or the bitter cold after an ice storm.

Models are showing a lot of rainfall across the region over the next 7-10 days...we could really knock down the drought if that verifies. Tues-Thurs looks very active with several complexes moving through.

1.26" Biggest gust was 27 mph but it's in a low spot. Considering the tree damage and other flying debris I'd say it was considerably higher than that.

When the storm went through North St. Pete it wasn't much more than a garden-variety thunderstorm here. Peak gust here right at 30 mph (lots of trees), according to the Davis on the roof. Rainfall was disappointing at just .27" Only leaf litter on the ground.
