Out at the air show too. Leaving when the Blue Angels are done That's what we did. Super efficient getting in and out. Too sticky for the little kids

Had about .4 in High Ridge, making 1.8" for the week. I was kind of on the back edge of it. Enough rain this week to put the grass back into hyper growth mode.
And happy Mother's Day to the moms on the board!

Home from the air show, I am crispy. The AC in the car afterwards felt so good. I think Scott AFB did good with rescheduling the main shows for the morning and having the Blue Angels go on at noon. There were still a lot of people on site when we did the slow walk back to the car.

Got to see what looked like maybe a simulated dogfight at the air show while we were coming home from Grantfork today.
Quite the day yesterday. We decided (correctly) around 2:30 or so to move the ceremony inside. As soon as it was over, everyone's phone started blowing up with the weather alert for the tornado-warned cell moving toward us. Thankfully that didn't materialize, and the weather turned out great after the storm moved through. We were able to open the doors and turn the AC off after dinner. The bride (and her mother...and her sister) were beautiful. I only cried 5 or 12 times throughout the day. I can't recommend Schwarz Barn enough for anyone looking for a venue; and McLovin, the band, was phenomenal. If I get the OK and I can figure out how, I'll post a couple pics.

I am not sure how much fell, but we drove home to Wentzville from Six Flags around 5:00 and had torrential rain from 109 in Wildwood all the way to Hwy K on 64.

I'm hearing a few rumbles of thunder off to the west or the south of me 7 miles west of De Soto. The rain gauge is stationed in its usual spot. I had .25" yesterday. Pond is full and clear, surprisingly. Caught a couple bass this evening. 1.5-2 lb'rs. The dog was hilarious when I would pull them in. He kept his eye on my lures the whole time. He had as much fun as I did.

Certainly glad to see the rain that has fallen around the area the last week or so. I tallied .125" overnight. I was expecting more but our ground is pretty wet here, 7 miles west of De Soto. I was trying to find "Observed Precip" totals over the last week and came across this. Clicky This is "Accumulation Graphs" but was surprised that the graph followed very closely to the "Average" line. You can see the dry period from middle of April through early May where it "flatlined". I am basing this from De Soto specifically, other cities are also in there. Now, De Soto is just under "Normal" precip by an 1" or so. Through May 15th the "Lowest" accumulation is 1986. STL is 2.25" below "Normal" of 15.64" and the "Lowest" through May 15th is 1954 at just over 6".
