Wow 12 to 18 for the metro, with a 2 foot total for Snowman in Union!! Lock that in for him.

Wow 12 to 18 for the metro, with a 2 foot total for Snowman in Union!! Lock that in for him. You should probably use Kuchera or the snow depth products given the temperature setup. More like 6-10 with locally more. Still a great run

GFS also still showing gust to 40-50mph on the backside
Get a few inches or heavy wet snow and tree limbs are in trouble

Wow 12 to 18 for the metro, with a 2 foot total for Snowman in Union!! Lock that in for him. Where are you getting 12-18 for the metro? Almost anyone east of river and S of 70 in Illinois isn’t getting over 4-5”. This will not be 10:1 ratio unless you are in a death band.

It's really a nice area. I was told the flagpole on the other side of Foley over in Signal Hill is the highest elevation in St Clair county. have you heard that? Is it true? Signal Hill is 450ish feet. Turkey Hill out by freeburg is 614 feet. That's the highest

Yes on the 10 to 1 sorry, but yes 6 to 10 plus on the missouri side of the river. It is more of a struggle east of downtown

Let’s remember before we get to crazy 4 days out that the GFS didn’t even have tonight’s snow until this morning lol

Just looking at QPF on GEM... it has drifted more to the northwest on this run. This is confirmed as well by trends at 850, 700 and the surface. All centers have wiggled about 50 miles or so (rough guess) to the northwest. Well within the general noise range at this point.

Good trends, if these models merge in the middle for tuesday we are set for the most part.

GFS surface and 850mb lows are a bit north of where we want them to be but because the system becomes vertically stacked up to 700mb as it moves through our area it puts the 700mb low track very close to our wheelhouse.

I hell you are going up hill on West main until much further into Belleville so yeah lol. Anyways it's coming down quite well I just can't see anyone getting 4". It will be really lucky if anyone gets 3".

Glad to have you back! What the gfs shows is the biggest storm I’ve ever seen modeled for the metro. A truly unprecedented model run, especially inside 7 days.

Do we know if the latest data runs included the Hurricane flight planes ? Yes, it should have been included. Outside of the nam being the nam (always wrong at 84 hours), no real changes so far.

No way we southerners get hosed Tuesday AND Friday right? Riight?!
GFS vs GEM / North vs South twice in 4 days is pretty interesting and definitely not boring.

Hit 2" at my place and still coming. Everything is covered now except under the densest bushes and trees that still have any foliage. I think Belleville has a 33% of hitting 4", but really liking that 3" to 3.5" at least until compaction settles in. Have a feeling tomorrow that the grocery stores will be dead, at least in the morning. Sadly I don't go in until almost Noon, so it'll be picking up then for sure. Looks like I'll miss the bread, milk, butter, and eggs runs on Monday and Tuesday ahead of whatever that system brings.
