Temp climb has slowed, but not stopped. Up a few tenths of a degree per hour still. I expect fog will thicken some tonight with warm air coming up over the cold ground.

Looks like a wet night for sure...radar is bubbling down S/SW. Love to see it(would rather it be snow).

Ah yes, if it were snow.
Luckily, I think we are starting to break our multi-year pattern of below normal precipitation through the late fall and winter.

Hey everyone. Can we try to meet up sometime this yr!?!?
It's been way too long since some of you got together. I never could do to my work schedule. And it would depend on work schedule obviously. But we need to.
But I have met some at the storm fest stuff. Along with Chris, Dave, Glenn, John and Anne before she transfered.

Also I CANNOT find my t-shirt!! 😢
Maybe a new updated one is needed.
One that includes the very popular
Meh...
Maybe a side by side.
Like one of our big classic storms of the past saying
Kaboom!!!! Underneath
And our bad luck junk storms we've been dealing with saying
Meh...

Yeah, I lost my T shirt some years ago as well. I moved a few times and it got lost in the shuffle, I believe. I'd love to pick up another one.

Dr. Cohen suggesting we do another cycle with the PV similar to our last experience meaning more stretching.
If he is right, February could still be fun. Would expect less intense arctic air and more eastward displacement so hopefully we cash in.
Gfs has been trending more wintry in the extended the last 6 runs or so.
Euro still ugly at D10.

Maybe someone has design skills and could have someone make them and we could all order the shirt online. Thinking out loud.

Is anyone in south Jeff Co near Festus hearing any rumbling, like thunder? I’ve been hearing it every few min out west and thought I’d ask!

Is the rain that falls in the next few days going to help the drought? Or is the ground too frozen from the last ten days that the rain won't soak in?

Well it's been a fun 10 day stretch of winter weather even if they are smaller systems. Time for a little break. I'm crossing my fingers for a Palm Sunday 2.0 Snow Storm. I already mentioned this, but Palm Sunday is on March 24th like it was in 2013. It would be fitting. We all have our wishes. We are just now only two weeks away from a 1 incher! 😂

Checkbyour thermometers to be sure they are clear of ice. I've seen ice/snow covered thermometers give flasely cold readings when they are ice or snow covered. I have no doubt some are still below freezing over the eastern ozarks, but temps are starting to move upwards a little more now. Looks like it was a continuity issue on the negative side of the battery. The battery holder spring was really corroded but the battery is pretty much brand new. So I swapped the batteries that were in the remote put those cold batteries in the inside unit and put the inside batteries in the outside unit and we now have a depressingly accurate temp of 37° 7 miles west of DeSoto.🤪🤪

That's a real solid rainy deformation on the GFS for Saturday. Can't wait... I seen that also. Looks like the storm just about stalls in our wheelhouse for 6 hours or so then starts heading off and as soon as it does that it starts snowing in Illinois and Indiana, go figure.

I am shocked to wake up to a snow day in Wentzville. Apparently there is still ice on the roads in the western part of the district. Our closure notice also mentioned a shortage of transportation staff due to many of them coming from western counties.
