Lewis and Clarks on Main Street used to be good. I personally haven't been in yrs. Kinda pricey.
Also Pios restaurant off of First Capital is good. Been there for yrs!

Completely off topic... Does anyone know of a good non-chain steakhouse or seafood restaurant near I-70 in the St. Charles, St. Peters, O'Fallon area? Napoli 3 is at I-70 and 5th in St. Charles. It's technically a chain because there's 3 of them in St. Louis but it's a local chain and locally owned. It's higher end with prime and Wagyu steaks. They have a sister restaurant right next door called Napoli Sea with fresh fish (they also offer the same steaks there). I've been to both, they are good but pricey.

I have a friend in St. John's Newfoundland, she said they're getting 18 plus inches of snow. I guess my point is, winter is still out there, wandering aimlessly.

With this weather might actually get that last string of lights down. After getting sick and the weather turning just ran out of time.

It probably doesn’t meet your chain criteria, but Tuckers is good in my opinion. WSC any words on cohens blog about Cold late month..I only view it on Wednesday so I'm not sure if you have a subscription or not. Just curious if it's on or we are ready to put a fork in this one! I have to say running errands with Sun out and shades on felt real good..almost made me want Spring and warmer weather..I know bite my tongue. Thank you in advance if any insight. Chris, I hope it's ok to mention that on the page about another blog. I don’t pay for the early access, but still thinking mid-month through early March could be good.

I don't have 'first hand' knowledge, BUT, went to Firebird's after the Train Show on Sat and was told we would have a 4.5 hour wait. This was at 4:30pm. We could have set 7 of us at 2 separate 3-4 chair tables but that is no fun. We asked about call in reservations and was told that was a 5 day waiting period. WTH So it 'must' be pretty good. Pretty pricey too. If you go, post back a review please.

On the bright side we only have 50 days till spring. The days are getting longer, rt? Generally I get up about 630 am. After last week's clouds this morning I noticed there was some daylight on the horizon at 630. First time since last fall.

The food was a couple of levels above standard national chains, but we didn't think it was worth the money.

06z GFS shows the fist fantasy storm of February! 3 weeks away! Book it! GFS struggles to organize anything in the first 2 weeks of February.

Drove up to Lincoln, NE on Friday and back on Sunday. Started to see snow around Higginsville, MO but just a small amount. It began to build north of KC and by the time I got to Lincoln they had quite a bit on the ground. Driving back on Sunday I had sun from Lincoln to about Booneville, that clearing line was very noticeable.

If nothing else, GFS is FINALLY trending in a colder direction after the 12th or so with cold air sagging southward out of Canada after an abnormally warm 2 week period. Nothing like the previous arctic outbreak, but finally getting enough cold air in our wheelhouse to make something happen if we could get a favorable storm track. Valentine's day (ish) could be an interesting timeframe.

My wife and I don't eat out near like we used to but always willing to try something new or recommended. We don't drink anymore either, not sure if that's showing causation or if that's just background noise.🤔🤪🤪😁

EPS is about 5 days faster with bringing the cold far enough south than the GEFS.
That answers my question why long range weather posts on social media are saying around the 10th and then others around the 15th.
I can see either one coming true. But, if I had to pick a horse, it would be the latter. This overall warm pattern has been a stubborn one to go away!
