Still thinking about you and praying for you Snowman.
Lost my mom almost 24 years ago to complications from a successful femoral bypass surgery. I flew out to California two days before the surgery in late May to help her with stuff. She owned a fourplex apartment. After the complications set in, she passed in the middle of June, and I stayed out there till early September getting the place ready to sell. To keep this weather related the tears fell like rain. Her 'teaching' and 'example leading' continue to this day. Reading your posts I am confident in saying we were/are both very blessed.🥰🥰🥰

I'm hoping the ground isn't too saturated that the strong winds will have a big impact on trees toppling over. I know the wind is going to be strong enough just to get any weakened trees to topple over.

We've gone over to drizzle now, and the NWS point forecast totals have been cut by more than half for today/ tonight.

Looking at the SPC meso page, the surface low is currently tracking just north of STL. If you look at the ensembles from a few days ago, it’s almost comically bad how poorly they did with this system. These big powerhouse lows love to go north of model guidance. |

But...the GEM and GFS give us shots of fluff through Tuesday..maybe a couple inches..I gotta hold out hope..just a suckered for the punishment.. |

My school district called off last night early evening. Right now it has been rain mixed in with some freezing rain and the roads so far are ok but I am guessing if they went the route of early dismissal the busses would be on the road when it was getting really bad.

There are parts of Montana and Northern Colorado that are bare ground. I wonder what year previously, if ever, they had bare ground in mid-January. |

Cmon GEFS keep scooting north Monday Let's all will it North.. North..North Whatever it takes. Looks like radar is picking up on low ceiling snow/snizzle out in Springfield and KC..I remember in Feb 2021 we had a couple days of very light snow/mist falling before the bigger storm and it made roads slick and stuck to everything..maybe same situation upcoming?? |
