We had about 6" overnight but has switched to moderate sleet now. How is it in the city, WSC? Got a few inches out in the Skokie/Niles area. Hoping not to lose it to rain this afternoon. Don’t think I’ll even get 4 inches total, so pretty disappointed. Dang and I thought at least you were going to be in a better spot. Sorry buddy. We all got screwed. Just terrible!

Pretty wild that the primary vort/speed max with this system is over the Arklatex and the 850/700mb low is near the IA/MO border...very atypical structure

I'm sorry... but you're post are so ridiculous they are annoying. 1st time I've used the block button but I'm sure life will be better now that I can't see his love for heat and crap predictions 😂 Maybe he is bad luck 🤷♂️ I thought it was me but I've been watching this all unfold from a cruise ship thinking I was going to miss a blizzard but nope just cold rain 😝

To be fair, none were great, but some of these are starting to remind me of the JMF or that old one that extrapolated the NAM. What was that goofy thing named?

Nice little spring/summer mesoscale bands. Sleet / snow for a minute or so. Wind and more winds. Honestly one of the weirdest systems I've ever seen for Jan.

Upstream radar looks like a big nothingburger... Springfield Mo radar starting to show some good squall action soundings still look favorable this afternoon and evening. Even just a heavy dusting would be better than bare ground

Oh, and I haven’t gotten the delete button out much…but we need to refrain from personal attacks. The boss has enough on his plate and doesn’t need to go through another round of nonsense. Act like adults and just scroll past posts if you don’t like them.

Lol, all my snow is being wiped out by rain.
I think I need a new hobby. Tuesday I got 1.5 inches of snow and then rain melted it all within a few hours.
Today I got 2.5 inches of snow and rain melted it all within a few hours.
NWS was saying 6-12 inches or more. What a cruel week this turned out to be

My son lives in Ames, Iowa. It is north of Des Moines proper. Just this week, they have had 2 storm systems each bring 8-9 inches of snow. They have had winter storm warnings, blizzard warnings - the whole 9 yards and then some. I am having to live vicariously through him, sigh.

The Davis on the roof in North St. Pete is reporting .55" of needed rain. I know we need it but it sure is disappointing that it isn't snow.

Any "flash freezing" reports out there yet? NWS mentioned the low likelihood in their morning discussion, but of course, the public disagrees.

Just remember how close we were to losing this whole thing a year or so ago over what some would say were relatively harmless comments. Let’s not go down that road again. They weren’t harmless comments. There was a particular group of people in here that attacked a certain page. What they didn’t know is that certain page knew the real names of those people. What was said was seriously bad and was presented to Chris. Certain comments weren’t as bad as others but for that particular page there are people running it that are handicapped and was done in a very harassing way. Thankfully that page and Chris resolved things quickly and admirably. Just know the comments were a low as it gets.
