I'm interested in seeing some July totals from everyone once this round is done. We have to be approaching monthly records in some places.

Dang, looks like that storm complex has taken the lead and is starting to slam south and power its way through the existing rain shield.

I'm interested in seeing some July totals from everyone once this round is done. We have to be approaching monthly records in some places. Monthly record for July at STL is 12.69 inches set in 1948. Wettest month of all time is August 1946 with 14.78. source is Ranked wettest months at this link: www.weather.gov/lsx/top10According to the ambient on my roof on the west side of Belleville my monthly total is 14.69 inches as of 1111.

BRTN I think you might just get that rain you've been waiting for... Been riding the edge of these heavier storms...don't think we'll get the big totals today but definitely enough to soak the ground and keep the plants happy. It got pretty darn dry after that 3" last week...shows how little soil moisture there was before that.

Shocked the tornado sirens aren't going off with the warning in JeffCo? could be they moved to warning the polygon and not the county. St Clair county just consolidated and upgraded to do just that

Listening to the scanner and there's lots of flooded out roads in St. Peters. Stay home if you can and wait water to drop.
Wonder what this will do to Dardenne Creek.

Not sure how reliable the piezometer is for rainfall rates, but mine is showing a peak of 6.4" per hour a few minutes ago. 2.39"/3.39"/14.48" for the hour/day/month.

Looking at Gateway guide camera, it looks like 70 is closed east bound at Mid Rivers and they are diverting traffic off at Mid Rivers Mall Dr. Anyone else confirm?

Listening to the scanner and there's lots of flooded out roads in St. Peters. Stay home if you can and wait water to drop. Wonder what this will do to Dardenne Creek. My wife and son reported that a residential road near our house that is over 100 ft above the Missouri River is flooded. Being that high it will obviously run off fast. It just goes to show how fast the rain came. Yeah, curious about Dardenne Creek as well. The NWS hydrology models don't do forecasts for that waterway. I think it is quick to rise and fall so I suspect it will crest later today.
