Just got back from deer camp in Greenfield Ill, and it's been some chilly hunts the past couple days. It's hard to tell because of the wind, but it looks like there was around 3-4 inches on the ground up there. Woke up this morning at 4:30am and 9deg, and, all I can say is, Banks makes an awesome blind for days like today. Didn't even attempt to hunt a ladder stand...lol

Sorry to hear that, did they play for Marrisa? Reminds me of the movie Animal House. I know, showing my age. One of John “Bluto” Belushi's many infamous quote's from that movie, “Christ, Seven years of college down the drain"
It's sad, because you know it's a chapter in their life that is coming to a close, and slowly moving them into adulthood. Cherish these times while you can.
We lost in the regional finals (volleyball) last night, so tears were the only things passed out at our house. Eight straight years of HS volleyball comes to an end. Next up--basketball.

Same here, in Mascoutah less the crabgrass Don't know about anyone else but I'm getting to the point where I could use a little rain. It's been pretty much bone dry in Marissa for the last month or more. All the rain that's been falling around the metro has been north of us. Grass is dormant. I mowed some of the crabgrass and dust last weekend.

Not Florida, but we're supposed to head down to Louisiana, and Gator hunt at my BIL's property next weekend, we are scheduled to leave 9/4 early am. Looks like we may be out of the Dorian reach and should be ok Compact little bugger, isn't he? I guess the 20kts of shear is hindering development on the SW side. Doesn't look like dry air or anything else would be. That's the wonder of hurricanes to me--trying to figure out why they do what they do.

Ok guys, and gals. I need some serious help for Saturday evening, reading the wind direction maps between 6pm-8pm if possible. I am lighting up the sky with pyro for the INDY car race at WWT Raceway(Gateway MSP). One of the pyro effects I am using for the parade laps, It's imperative to have a westerly direction wind, because the pyro being used creates debris, so I need the wind to move the debris away from the track surface. Any easterly wind, and I'll have to delete from the parade lap, and just use it during the post race fireworks show. If the wind works in our favor, it's going to be a phenomenal pyro effect along the whole back straight of the track. So any help is much appreciated

You got that right, don't need wind. There are busy little bees setting up over at WWT Raceway(Gateway), getting ready for this weekends INDY car race. There is a lot of temporary structures being erected at the track, that don't like wind when being assembled I am betting not a drop in metro. Oh well we dont need the wind. Lots of rain tomorrow amd thursday anyway

Feel ya, my Davis took a spill off the roof in a storm, not sure how. So it needs to go back for a rebuild, if Davis has a repair facility, otherwise I'll just buy a new one. We got a pretty nice down pour with the severe cell (wasn't severe here) that popped up near ofallon il. I am kicking myself for not replacing my rain gauge that I broke in February. Oh well. Looking forward to getting to the airport to pick up my wife as this thing gets here tomorrow. I am sure either the flight gets delayed or I'll be driving home in it. Yay. Good night cornerers.

This will be the first 4th in about 20 years, where I won't be forecast watching 24/7, since this is the first year I'm not doing a pyro show, trust me, home office is begging, but it's not happening. I had already made plans to race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a Kart Team, that I'm Manage for a family
With Fourth of July just a week away just wondering how does the forecast look for that so far?

And once again, you are correct, radar popping
The remnant MCV is easily visible on satellite across SW MO...would think that will light up later today as it meanders into the region.

BRTN, We've never taken our birds in there, but all our deer go there, they do a phenomenal job, closest you'll find to an Old Fashioned Butcher also. Trenton is hands down the best butcher/processor in the region...we always have our geese processed there...the smoked goods and brats are incredible!

Talk to the butcher at Tom's in town, or try Trenton processing. We'll stop in at Trenton and they will cut our grillin Ribeye's 2-2 1/2" thick for us, don't see why they wouldn't do your ribs. Oh, and while there, grab some of their various sausages and brats. Man, that looks good. I do briskets and pork ribs all the time. But I really need to add beef ribs to my rotation These were small. I need to find a place that will cut them 3, 5 ribs wide and 6 to 8 inches long. They are delicious! This cook is my trial to see if I got the patience to do a brisket. I do! And I've never done one. I have a stick burner.

What is the most recent forecast look like? There is a lot of activity and racing today/tonight over at GatewayMSP . And then we’re going to do a bigass fireworks show after the race. I’m also going to do a little surprise on the NASCAR parade lap, and for those that attend the Indycar races at GatewayMSP have seen my little surprises(On the back straight) 😱 Would just like to know if these storms are going to keep training all day, or are we about done, and, if anyone needs something to do today, there are activities all afternoon and evening that are a lot of fun. There’s even a purpose build first class Karting facility on the infield in turns 1&2, that you can come down and race the karts amongst all the NASCAR and ARCA teams.

Witnessed my first multi wedge, about mile wide, seen multi ropes before. Those chopper feeds are amazing.
