That’s a great view. Hope you got some good pics over the water. Do you swim in that lake, or is it a retention area? Beautiful area though, don’t have to fight the crowds from that vantage point 😀 BTW, it was a scorcher out there today. Had the show setup 3hrs early, so I had the wife watch the shoot site, and ran home and jumped into the pool for 10 minutes or so, since we’re only 6 blocks from the park. Boy was that nice. ❄️🌨😀 Modracer... if you're paying attention, this is my view of your show! Happy AMERICA Day everyone!

Must've been a really warm night, it was already 86*F when I was driving through downtown at 7:30AM.

Severe Drought conditions remain in Northern Mo. Might start seeing those drought conditions expand as we get deeper into summer

Severe Drought conditions remain in Northern Mo. Might start seeing those drought conditions expand as we get deeper into summer I'd say this trend is already underway given the last few events that have strongly favored the IL side of the river. Not good...

98/73 here in Harvester at 2:50p. Let's see what the airport shows.
Edit: Lambert had 93 and Spirit had 96 so this time I'm actually higher than both.

Would be nice if those showers in northeast Missouri would drop more this way rather than more of the eastward push I'm seeing on radar

Chris posted on FB that two of the Fox 2 weather stations reported 100F.
Lambert has reported at least 96F so far today. We've actually had several 96 days already this year, but nothing higher than that...yet.

Decent outflow boundary from storms north of the metro moving south.

There were two different funnel clouds spotted near the MO/IL/IA border earlier today. Conditions were actually favorable for landspout tornadoes up there earlier. The SPC mesoanalysis suggests conditions may still be somewhat favorable in a small area in central MO.

I am currently 101 dp 75. I think we are seeing strong surface heating and pooling on the boundary moving south

Tropical Storm Beryl has formed in the Atlantic. NHC is forecasting it to become a hurricane. Dynamical models say no way.

Just had wind gust/outflow blow through here. Easy 30+ mph.
Also getting fairly dark

There’s an outflow draped perpendicular to the outflow coming in from the north. Wonder if storms might blow up when they start overlapping

That was one hell of a gust front that just came through here. I’m guessing a few 50+ mph gust

Beryl formed not too far off of 10N latitude in <26C SST water. That's impressive, but hurricane forecast may be a bit aggressive.
Out in the Western Pacific, Maria is rippin. Looks impressive on visible satellite...I don't think JTWC advisory of 110kts does it justice.

I had a high of 100F at my house and my pool is a disgusting 92F!! I like it warm but not that warm, that's unbearable. 92 is the warmest it has ever been tying the awful 2012 summer. The next 3 days look stellar so the pool temp should get back to more bearable temps in the mid 80's and I can finally get the back yard mowed. Happy belated Independence Day everyone!

97F was the high at the airport. That makes today the hottest day of the year so far.

I guess the NHC knows what they're doing. Beryl is now a hurricane. Also, Invest 96L is likely to organize as well. It is currently sitting off the east coast.

Humidity still sucks today. Feels just as bad as most of the last few. I was just outside doing yard work for only an hour and half and it's terrible. I don't see how you do it...

Estimating Beryl's diameter from visible satellite it's only like 60nm wide. That thing is tiny.
