Models still show a chilly airmass moving in behind the big plains storm this weekend with an ever stronger front towards D9 that would bring a freeze threat here. Thinking at least patchy frost is possible this weekend.

New furnace going in today. It's cool in the house this morning(68°). But given the outside temp is 45 I expected cooler. Picked up a lot of heat from the solar gain yesterday.

Had to turn the heat on last night for a short time. We opened the patio door when we got home from volleyball. There will be NO furnace until November. Wear a hoodie.

I dunno about you guys but I've had my windows open for the past 3 or 4 days. The cool nights get me to ~64/65 at night which is peak sleeping temperature for me. Stays nice and mild throughout the day. Plus the cats love chirping at the birds.

You know things aren't going the Braves way when they give up a run and can't even record an out on a strikeout.

As long as Martinez doesn't go in to close it out we should be ok...

OT--despite those types of speeches happening in most locker rooms, Arozorena posting/going live during the closed-door was about as colossally stupid as it gets. He'd probably still be running foul poles if he played for me, and he might even get the "soap in the !Drying Cloth!" treatment at some point.
Edit--Ha! I forgot about us censoring that word.

Very strange looking sunrise here this morning. Wasn't "red sky in the morning...." More like a yellowish of a very old incandescent light bulb. Lasted all of 10 minutes before the sun poked up and then got eaten by the clouds.

Rookie mistake. I'm glad it got out. It showed Shildt has a fire in him we never see. All we see is this quiet reserved dude.

Looks like the heavier rain/convection is going to miss mostly to the NW like it has for the past month or so...really becoming a struggle to get a good soaking rain lately. Hopefully the frontal passage tomorrow will bring a good band of rain through.
