Just enough rain to get the patio wet. Sprinkles at the moment.

Hrrr has struggled mightily with this whole system. I think all the convective models struggled with this system. Can’t really blame them though. It’s an odd ball of a setup It really is. This shear zone setup with embedded MCVs and outflows everywhere seems to be creating a "slosh effect".

Looks like our little friend may have one more spin up left in it What do you think that means for precip chances and when?

If it spun up like that again there would be another round of rain and storms near the circulation like the NAM shows. Hard to say if it will spin up again

Between the 8th and 15th of July looks like we might have many days of 95-105F highs, low 80s for lows.
With chances MAJOR TO SEVERE MCS/DERICHOS ROLLING OVER THE TOP OF THE MID LEVEL RIDGING.

Getting a few big raindrops. Nothing significant so far.

Now we're getting a deluge. Radar shows it blowing up on top of me and not really moving.

Wondering if this wall of water on the meremac in Steelville is gonna make it to us. Would really suck as we have a big fireworks display on the beach tomorrow.

Looks like a possible FF event developing out towards Troy and Warrenton...pretty well-defined convergence zone on the NE fringe of the MCV out to the west.

I was concerned about that too for a bit, but it looks like to me that a cold pool of sorts is organizing with a more pronounced southwest moving outflow keeping the focus for heaviest rain from stalling out very long.

Yep...the slow storm motion was concerning...but the cold pooling did seem to break up the deeper convection and kick it out. That event this morning along the Meramec was impressive...and cancelled my plans for floating/fishing that stretch.

I tried to sound somewhat of an alarm for that area without going over the top. I know some people like to camp down on the sandbars and such along the river and that had me really concerned. And obviously floating when the river is rising rapidly is not such a good idea. It has crested there in Steelville and is now falling.

Awaiting the 5 foot rise and fall here for tomorrow probably. Not a drop here but that storm this morning was crazy up river.
