The cloud deck from those storms has made for a very tolerable evening.

Friv mentioned it a few days ago but the medium range sure has the MCS/Derecho look to it. GFS/Euro are building some big time CAPE values with some ridge runners already showing up

Sure enough the Derecho parameters on the GFS are already beefy next weekend

Holy cow...whatever happened to old fashioned bottle rockets? My neighborhood sounds like world war III tonight. Some of these shells could be used in combat.

Happy Independence Day to everyone. Sounds like a war zone 7 miles west of De Soto also. Got to love the ones that when they go off you can feel it in your chest. Thank you to all who have served for our nation. God bless you and your families.

164 AQI today is the highest that ive seen it here. Unhealthy air quality.
Edit-this website I found said forest park is currently at 389 AQI which is hazardous and the highest reading in the country currently

The smoke in the central corridor and east side showed up pretty clearly on my radar app this morning.

Folks in my sisters neighborhood had the cops tell them to stop and started back up a few minutes later. Too many people to deal with all over the county.

TD 5 off the east coast of Bermuda heading quickly towards the North Atlantic. May become a tropical or sub-tropical storm but not a lot to hit between Bermuda and the UK

He thanks you for your interest!

I didn't mind that the neighborhood was having a good time...I"m glad folks had fun. I just was comenting on the kinds of fireworks being MUCH bigger than usual. What I was concerned about... although not until today when I found it...was the amount of bebris that landed in my yard, on my roof, etc. There are shell casings, cardboard tubes, etc all over the place. That stuff can fall pretty hot...so I am lucky the house did not catch on fire.
