I didn't mind that the neighborhood was having a good time...I"m glad folks had fun. I just was comenting on the kinds of fireworks being MUCH bigger than usual. What I was concerned about... although not until today when I found it...was the amount of bebris that landed in my yard, on my roof, etc. There are shell casings, cardboard tubes, etc all over the place. That stuff can fall pretty hot...so I am lucky the house did not catch on fire. That was our concern as well.

Especially since I've been told I have very sensitive hearing for someone my age.

Thanks!
And yes he was. Even though I’m glad they aren’t putting out the upper 90 temps still.

I said on Facebook that I think everyone around us in the neighborhood must have spent their stimulus money on fireworks. The constant barrage sounded like a war zone. Made getting up at 0330 really hard (had to work).

10am and the heat index is already 95*.....joy Still better than 2012 where it would already be close to 100* air temp...IMO...but the humidity has definitely been tough to take for the past week.

Radar scope posted that they are aware of the fake Mpings and have shut the service down for the time being.

I'm getting a good rain here for the last 1/2 hour or so. Not a deluge. A fairly useful rain. Blew up on top of me and wasn't going anywhere very fast.
Edited to add: looked like it was beginning to collapse, but now has reintensified. Complete with lightning and thunder.

Radar scope posted that they are aware of the fake Mpings and have shut the service down for the time being. They should require a valid spotter ID to make Mping reports, IMO...not sure how they would go about verifying that but considering the NWS uses Mping reports you'd think there would be some collaboration there.

I said that at a spotter meeting and wrote that I a survey. They said they were considering that. Along with adding some obvious precip types that are missing.

The Davis on the roof in North St. Pete is pleased to announce today's total of .66" There was some runoff as it came down fairly hard. I drove to Mid Rivers Mall while it was raining, when I arrived it was bone dry there.

Had .22" today. I was fishing at a pond in my neighborhood. They were biting prior and after. Chris, I feel your pain sir... I stood there thinking it would lighten up... it did not. The wind blew too, say maybe 20 mph or so. I stood and fished for an additional hour to make sure I dried a little. At least I don't have to water the garden now. Have a great Tuesday evening y'all!
