Chris, or anyone else that knows. Why is there only an 8 county Heat Advisory? Seems a bit too large of an area if the "Concrete Jungle" was/is the reason. Any thoughts??

Models build a stout upper ridge over the desert southwest over the weekend. Model forecast of 120F for Phoenix on the ECM/UKM...ouch. If that were to pan out that would get close to their all time high which I believe is 122F.

GEFS and EPS look to be establishing a hot pattern in our area as well.

Ukie has a couple MCS’s coming through here the next few days. Other models disagree.

Ran through quite a downpour near the Galleria. Temp dropped to 70 degrees. Rain stopped near the stadium.

Yeah, this weekend looks fairly comfortable and then will be brutal next week. Euro and GFS both have triple digit highs here next week. Not sure yet we'll make it that hot, but it does look unpleasant for sure.

Really would be nice to get one of those downpours here. I have one again. Not super heavy. But fairly large drops.

Had a breezy shower here in Brighton about 30 minutes ago that dropped the temp into the 70s but it has since cleared out and I'm watching the thermometer rise by a degree every couple minutes...guess it was nice while it lasted!

It looks like it rained Christmas ornaments at John G- of West Bellville's home. Here in North St. Pete, the Davis on the roof reports .65"this afternoon. Top wind was 31 mph.

Either I had stronger wind or it wasn't as strong as I thought it was. Glad I didn't submit a severe report if it was only 31 mph.

What a great shot showing there's no sound when at the top of the cloud. Nothing blowing it into an anvil.
