I'd say a quiet night is on tap. Looks like we stay dry. Which means I get to go another couple days before I have to mow again. Yep...

Have a clear view of the NE sky here in Arnold and am able to see some faint red lighting from that storm up by Decatur. That’s a 115 miles away according to RadarScope

Tops on that Decatur storm are approaching 60k feet. Not surprising I can see it from here

Good news is the heat wave next week looks iffy. In fact the NAM and GFS are showing a stout shortwave moving through Wednesday. Might need to watch that for severe potential

Who mentioned the St. Louis split? Dead on.
But the storms near Evansville are quite potent.

Major global models all have us near or at 100 by around next Fri/Sat, though UKMET in particular is a bit preposterous at 109F. Will we get hot by then or will the heat keep getting delayed or blunted in modeling later on like we often see?

Sure wish it would not be that predicted heat next Sat! Outdoor grad party but still... a day like today would be much better!

Tilawn, got another question. We dont know what we are doing wrong with flower baskets. But everytime we get one, they get real ugly after about 2 weeks. We dont know if we are watering them too often or what. But the stems loose flowers and grow real long. Here is a pic of our current one.

Euro is disgusting starting Friday It's also drier than a bone along with the GEM. Looks like the Heat Wave is back in the forecast. Unless another tropical system forms along the east coast I think this one will be the one. Probably the year's hottest if its any consolation.

I hope we can get some rain Wed. Wild blackberries are really coming in and could use a drink of water before they get torched. We picked a few gallons on the farm this weekend.
