That's got to be the biggest blob of 70mph+ velocities I've seen around here since 2006...wicked looking bow for sure.

How will these storms effect what we might get later? Are we still getting them or are these the ones we were supposed to get.

Heck of a storm moved through here...Skies got dark, winds got very heavy. Power went out...winds blew down a huge oak tree...just missed the house, but not the deck...

When that cell rolled through my area in Wildwood, had blinding rain, thunder, notable gusts. Dropped 1.09 inches of rain in a short period of time. No hail. T currently 80.

Glen just said an 83mph gust was recorded near Edwardsville That doesn't surprise me at all. I was expecting some 60 to 80 mph gusts today...didn't have the gust to go 80+ though Chose to stay close to home today and just took my son out to the Chesterfield Valley to watch the storms come in. A good surge of wind out that way and LOTS of rain. Was plenty visual...his first semi-official chase with me. I didn't want to get caught up in the bigger chase, otherwise I would have been stuck out all night with now sleep...and I'm dragging as it is. Time for bed....see you all in the morning.

Basic thunderstorm here. Wind, rain, thunder, and lightning. The highest gust we had (according to the Davis on the roof in North St. Pete) was 28 mph though the trees may impede the wind a bit. the Davis would also like me to tell you that he measured .38" of rain.

Oh... one more thing... we broke a more than 100 year old record today with 1.34 inches of rain. The old record was 1.15 set in 1904.
