Happy I finally got rain. Plus St Clair was still able to do their fireworks.

It seems I got a rock...or something pretty close to it. Not enough to wet the pavement.

Got a good soaking and solid winds as that strong/severe cell came through Perryville. Looks like some more coming from Farmington. Nice to have a good storm - feels like it has been a really long time. At least the Saharan dust will be washed off the new truck!

1.43”!official total at KFAM. Some locally heavier amounts were measured. Their was a damage path through the central part of the county last night, with some damage to a few homes and outbuildings. In the KFAM area, numerous trees damaged and limbs were downed.

Yeah I saw video Tyler Schlitt had from the Cuba area last night. Looked like a nader.

Interesting little spin showing up on the models late tomorrow night/Tuesday morning. Could be a prolific rainmaker for some

The Davis on the roof in North St. Pete is not happy to report a dismal .07". I have the same plans as REB. Watering.

I'm coming down out of vacation mode and playing some catch up... Based on the video, the radar and some damage pictures I've seen... it does appear that a small tornado touched down just west of Cuba yesterday around 542pm. That radar shows rotation (not strong) and a CC drop out. A scan earlier there was a pixel or two of higher reflectivity that was likely lofted debris in the same part of the storm. But even with all of that.. in real time I'm doubtful I would have pulled the trigger on a tornado warning based solely on the radar. I believe there was an SVR still in effect...so that's good. Just one of those marginal, weak signal events. If you issued a warning every time the radar looked like this there would be a whole lot more false alarms.

You can blame me for the heavy rain threat. It's finally rolled out my above ground automated sprinkler system that I haven't needed for the past 2 years.

Going back through the radar archives and this has an eerily similar look to the Union flood that Snowman has mentioned from May 2000.

Euro ensembles are favoring the metro for the heaviest rain. Funny enough the 18z hi res NAM came in completely dry for most of the area
