Euro looks great midweek until it hits MO, then it dies, but ultimately blows up again for the east. If that isn't an STL winter GIF I don't know what is.

Well at least in the immediate future, flakes could be flying at times for most of us Saturday evening into Sunday AM. Not much worth talking about, but it's mood flakes at least. GFS catching on to the system Monday Night Tuesday, but plenty of time to watch.

I know this isn't a grammar board, but there is a difference between lose and loose. My shoestrings are loose. The cards will probably lose against the Braves. I see it everywhere all the time and it's just odd. looser! lol. actually, i have the same peeve about 'should of' or 'could of' - they should have said, "could have", or could have said, "should've" also when somebody says "could care less", means they do care, but frankly, i couldn't care less that they do care. The last one doesn’t work because the speaker could sarcastically say, “I could care less”

So I went back to the years I posted at the top of this thread to see if there were any "hot spots" during tbose winters where snow was more likely. With such a small dataset I didn't expect to find much. I broke the period from Dec 1-April 15 (our snow season) into 5 day chuncks. I went and looked for snowfall events in thoese years of 1" or more over 2 day periods. I'm not sure how valuable this is (if at all) but there are three "hot spots" on the calendar in those years.
Dec 26-31 .... 7 events of 1" or more ... if you bumped that to Dec 24-31... that number jumps to 9 events! In a period of just six winters... that seems statistically significant.
Jan 6-10 ... 3 events of 1" or more
Feb 1-5 ... 4 events of 1" or more
So... let's watch those three periods for significant snow. In no way is that a forecast... but it will be fun to see if any of them actually hit.

Ill be honest. If it only snowed for Christmas and nothing else I would be ok with it. It has been a while and we all deserve a white Christmas
